Aims |
My main long-term project is the development of an Internet gift economy, to offer a real alternative to the competitive economic environment which I see as having a deleterious effect on the modern world. |
|
Beliefs |
I believe that, given half a chance, people like to be altruistic. I believe that we are all here for a purpose, that all of life is connected on a fundamental level, and that welfare derives from cooperation, not competition. |
|
Interests |
Sceptical of many modern institutions such as mass compulsion schooling and centrally-organised certification monopolies, I am interested in alternatives that use technology to help people rediscover themselves and one another. |
|
Lifestyle |
I am pretty flexible about my environment, ready to adapt and enjoy a challenge. When the spirit moves, I work intensely on single topics, but my general habit is to work steadily away at a range of long-term projects. |
|
Recreation |
I enjoy Pastel sketching, designing card and board games, playing Go, and writing poetry if I'm in the mood. |
